The hotel offers valet parking for the same amount.
N.B. This is an hour earlier than previously announced because of changed times offered to our group at the Mauritshuis Museum.
11:00 The group walks to the Central train station. A stroll of about 15 minutes after which we shall board the RET light rail to the Hague (den Haag). This takes us through the suburbs of Rotterdam, the countryside, the suburbs of the Hague, ending at the Hague Central Station .
From the station we will walk (or taxi for those persons not able to walk this distance) to the Mauritshuis museum for the lunch.
12:00 Lunch together
13:00 Guided tour through the special exhibition of the Dutch Masters of the Golden Age on loan from the collection of HM Queen Elizabeth, and further through the world renowned standard collection of Rembrandt’s and Vermeer’s in the intimate museum. There are lifts available for those who have a problem with walking stairs.
Subsequently we will meet together for coffee, tea or something stronger before making the trip back to Rotterdam, debarking the train next to the hotel. As the trains run every 10 minutes from the Hague to Rotterdam, it might not be necessary to travel in one group if some desire to stay a bit longer in the Hague.
For participants not staying overnight in the hotel there will be separate rooms available for the ladies and gentlemen for freshening up.
After meeting each other again for drinks about 19:00, we will proceed to the dining area for dinner at 19:30. Dress code: Tenue de Ville.
